Baby Basics Workshop View 1 available
Parents-to-be are invited to attend this afternoon workshop. Participants will discuss and practice the skills needed to nurture and care for their baby.
Learn how to handle, burp, change, clean, swaddle and calm a newborn infant. Plenty of time will be left for Q&A. Class is led by Barbara Negelow who is a Certified Registered Nurse and Certified Childbirth Educator. She owns and runs www.readybirth.com Barabara is also an AJC Nurse of Excellence for 2009.
Class limited to 10 couples. Cost is per couple.
Everything You Want to Know About Labor and Delivery View 1 available
Please join Barbara Negelow, RNC, CCE, and AJC Nurse of Excellence, for Everything You Want to Know About Labor and Delivery. This is a small group class for more personalized and individual coaching and instruction. Four couple maximum class. Expect this class to run approximately 3-4 hours as necessary, for one session, and you will be completely prepared and reassured. Expect to discuss how to identify when you are actually in labor, how to manage your labor at home, and what to expect from your hospitalization including your labor and delivery in the hospital and the early postpartum period, including initial bonding and rudimentary breastfeeding.
HypnoBirthing® - The Mongan Method View 1 available
HypnoBirthing® - The Mongan Method - is a unique method of relaxed, natural childbirth education, enhanced by self-hypnosis techniques. HypnoBirthing® provides the missing link that allows women to use their natural instincts to bring about a safer, easier, more comfortable birthing. Emphasis is placed on birth companion training, on pregnancy and childbirth, on pre-birth parenting and the consciousness of the pre-born baby and on immediate attachment. It is presented in a series of five, 2 1/2-hour classes. The cost is $300 per couple and includes handouts, a book, audio CD, access to our class files and an invite for our private yahoo group. Weekly group, and Private In-home classes are available to meet every couple's needs.
Pre/Postnatal Screening by Physical Therapist
Many women experience back and joint pain, incontinence and even pelvic pain during pregnancy and the post-partum months. Blair Green, MPT, OCS, CSCS, a licensed physical therapist, specializes in the treatment of women during the childbearing year. 20 minute consultations and screenings are available to discuss any injuries or concerns you may have regarding your body and the changes it is undergoing. Referral to a physical therapist or physician will be made when appropriate.
Pregnancy Pilates View 3 available
Learn how to tone and strengthen your body as it goes through the remarkable changes of pregnancy! This class uses a modified sequence of Pilates exercises designed especially for pregnant women. Pilates can help strengthen the pelvic floor, improve balance and alignment as the body grows bigger and can help reduce lower back pain. No prior Pilates experience needed.
Pregnancy Water Aerobics View 9 available
The pool is where a pregnant woman wants to be! This fun aqua workout will tone your body by using the water for resistance training. Additional benefits: your body will feel lighter and cooler, and water can help reduce swelling.
Pregnancy Yoga View 5 available
Take the time to center, connect and focus on yourself and your baby. Stretch and soothe your sore back, shoulders and legs. Learn to relax, breathe and meditate in preparation for the big day. No yoga experience is necessary, but if you practice yoga regularly,you'll love our challenging modified poses.
Prenatal Toning, Fitness & Yoga Combo View 12 available
This specially designed combo gives you a taste of everything Oh Baby! has to offer in a prenatal class. We start out with 20 minutes of aerobic, cardio and strength training. That's followed by 20 minutes of stability/birthing ball exercise. Class finishes with a 20 minute yoga cool- down including relaxation, stretching and meditation.

You and your baby will love this water workout. This action-packed aqua class lets you exercise in the water with your baby at your side. Mom focuses on aerobic conditioning and muscle strengthening while baby has floating fun! Flotation seats are provided for babies.

Get ready for a great workout! If you liked our Prenatal Combo class, you'll love Mom & Baby Fitness. This class incorporates cardio, strength training and focused abdominal work. Your baby can get in on the fun, too, or simply stay close to you on your mat. Class ends with a treat for baby: a gentle baby massage.

Get your tummy back into shape and build core strength. Based on the teachings of Joseph Pilates, this class strengthens abdominal muscles, increases circulation, develops muscle strength, increases flexibility, improves balance and coordination, helps with relaxation and teaches deep breathing techniques. Throughout the class, you'll have the option of involving your baby in the movements or having your baby close to you on your mat. You don't need previous Pilates experience to join this class. ** If your child is older than the recommended age and you have childcare options, please feel free to join us for this class without your baby. **
Mom & Baby Yoga View 2 available
Find your center, relax and connect with your baby. This class focuses on postures and breathing techniques for Mom. Special attention is given to the realignment of your body - especially your tense shoulders and aching back (consequences of carrying and nursing your growing baby). During the class, you have the option: either your baby can be close to you on the mat or can actually participate in the movements. As a bonus, babies are treated to a short session of gentle baby yoga and massage, relieving them of common discomforts.

Stroller Workout
Don't leave your baby with a sitter -- make baby part of the fun! Get outside and get a great workout as you power walk through the park. You'll love this challenging circuit that incorporates muscle conditioning, strengthening and stretching. Ab work ends the class, while baby plays on the grass or blanket beside you.
